OVERVIEW

The Journal invites readers to take part in Wes Anderson's whimsical journey. Through captivating travel destinations, delicious food experiences, and stunning photography, each issue transports readers to a world where fantasy and reality collide. With a focus on Anderson's aesthetic, SAJOUR celebrates the art of storytelling in every aspect, inviting readers to indulge in the charm and wonder of its curated content.

CHALLENGE

The goal was to create a travel magazine that blends stunning photos, delicious food, and unique travel experiences, all inspired by Wes Anderson’s distinct aesthetic. Using his signature symmetrical compositions, rich colors, and nostalgic charm, the magazine aimed to make each page feel like a scene from one of his films.

SOLUTION

I incorporated a color palette related to Wes Anderson's aesthetic style, adding the silhouette of an airplane in the articles about cities and a spoon and fork in the cooking recipes to differentiate the different sections of the magazine. For the table of contents, I designed a world map showing the cities we will discuss in each issue. Finally, I included an extra article about Wes Anderson and concluded with a section previewing the upcoming articles in future magazines.

AUDIENCE

The primary audience consists of travelers passionate about discovering the world's most beautiful and exciting places. The secondary audience includes those interested in cooking and learning about the cuisine of different countries. Finally, the tertiary audience encompasses photography enthusiasts who appreciate Wes Anderson's aesthetic and cinematic style.
